Passage: Matthew 9:18–9:26

Read through Matthew 9:18-26 and then answer the questions below.

1. Our will is a powerful thing. Unless we are willing, we will not experience the
power of God in our life. How do we often use our will?

2. How can desperation be a blessing? What will desperation lead us to do?

3. How did the religious leader demonstrate desperation, and how did Jesus
respond to his desperate prayer? (Matthew 9:18-19)

4. How did the woman with the flow of blood model desperation, and how did
Jesus respond to her desperate prayer? (Matthew 9:20-22)

5. What would have happened if the religious leader, and the woman with the
flow of blood, never reached out for Jesus? What happens in our own lives when
we don’ reach out for Jesus?
