Life Groups

Our Life Group mission is to gather un-churched, de-churched and badly churched people into a revolutionary Christ-centered community that strives to love well, listen intently, and experience life change together.

What is a Life Group?

A Life Group is an intentional gathering of Firewheel attenders into a smaller more intimate community.

Life Groups consist of 6-12 adults/4-6 couples. The groups can always add participants, they are never “closed” but sometimes they are full.

Life Groups meet on different days during the week in a home or other off-campus locations.

They range from 1.5-2 hours in length, but can go longer depending on the group.

Biblical foundation:

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42 ESV

“And day by day, attending the temple together (large gathering) and breaking bread in their homes (small gathering)…” Acts 2:46 ESV (emphasis added)

“…and teaching you in public and from house to house…” Acts 20:20

Life Group Connection Request

Not ready to connect to a Life Group but would like an introduction? You may want to connect to a short-term group called our Upper Room Gatherings.

Upper Room Gatherings

Each year, Firewheel facilitates two 6 week Introduction to Life Groups series called Upper Room Gatherings. The gatherings give each person attending Firewheel the opportunity to explore the Life Group experience. The next Upper Room Gathering will start with a Meet and Greet in the fall.

Sign up to be a:
Host Home - a place where the group can comfortably gather together for each of the 6 scheduled gatherings. A host is not required to be a Guide for the meeting but can be a Guide if they choose.

Guide - a person(s) who will help “guide” the Upper Room Gatherings. They will be familiar with the basic structure for Life Group gatherings and should review the content of the sermon/sermon study before each meeting. GUIDE training and materials will be made available.
