Lt. Col. (Ret.) Brian Birdwell is a survivor of the September 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon. When American Airlines Flight 77 hit the building, Birdwell was thrown to the ground and engulfed in flames. Sixty percent of his body was burned and over half of those burns were third degree, requiring 30+ operations.

By God's grace, Brian has recovered, and he is stronger in the Lord than ever. He and his wife, Mel, share that gift with others by encouraging burn survivors and their families through the gospel of Christ.
